Dubai: While most of us are busy scanning the skies for the Eid moon, true Bollywood buffs know the real star sighting is happening a little closer to home — right here in Dubai.

Salman Khan, the eternal Bhai [bro] of Bollywood, has landed in the city and will be making an appearance this evening at Roxy Cinemas, JBR, to promote his big Eid release Sikandar alongside co-star Rashmika Mandanna and direct AR Murugadoss.

So yes, while the rest of Dubai is busy moon-spotting, we recommend looking out for Khan spotting instead.

The superstar’s Dubai trip comes just days after he lit up headlines at his nephew Ayaan Agnihotri’s music album launch.

At that cheeky, star-studded event, he didn’t shy away from poking fun at himself — proudly owning the "nepotism" label and setting the tone with his usual dose of irreverent charm.

But this time, the spotlight is firmly on Sikandar, an action-packed entertainer set for an Eid release. And in true Bhai fashion, he’s kicking off promotions with a Dubai detour.

Of course, the film hasn’t been without its share of pre-release buzz — some of it stirred by the noticeable age gap between Salman and Rashmika. As noted in my earlier Gulf News piece, while fans are excited about this unexpected pairing, others have raised eyebrows at the nearly 30-year age difference between the leads.

But Khan, never one to be fazed, is brushing off criticism and doubling down on the charm offensive.

And Dubai, always ready for a little glamour, is soaking it all up. So if you're strolling around JBR tonight, keep your phone charged and your camera ready.

Whether you're catching the trailer on Ain Dubai Ferris Wheel or catching a glimpse of Bhai himself, one thing’s for sure — this Eid, the star spotting is going to epic.
