The UAE will be the first market to experience EXEED’s autonomous driving technology
Renowned automaker EXEED has announced its integration with world-leading AI technology company DeepSeek. DeepSeek offers significant technological advantages, with training costs of just $5.57 million (Dh20.4 million), a tenth of OpenAI’s cost, and it achieves superior performance through the use of Nvidia’s H800 chip, empowering EXEED to lay a solid foundation for the future of intelligent mobility.
EXEED began its development of humanoid robots as early as 2020. In 2023, the company officially unveiled its self-developed robot and robotic dog ecosystem products. In 2024, EXEED announced an investment of more than Dh100 million to accelerate robot development, which has now entered the mass production phase, with plans to start official showroom sales by 2026. This milestone marks the rapid rise of EXEED’s robotics business and signals more breakthroughs and innovations in the field of intelligent mobility.
“EXEED is not only focusing on robot development but also applying technological breakthroughs in areas such as language interaction to our high-end models, creating a human-vehicle-robot intelligent mobility ecosystem that will bring users an even smarter and more convenient travel experience,” says Qin Chao, CEO of EXEED.
With the integration of DeepSeek AI, the EXEED ET and ES’s smart cockpit now boasts advanced voice interaction capabilities. The four-zone recognition system can accurately locate each passenger’s position, allowing for voice control of over 800 vehicle functions, with a response time as fast as 0.8 seconds. This ensures that drivers can enjoy convenient, hands-free control at all times. The system can also recognise more than 20 commands within 30 seconds, ensuring smooth and efficient voice interaction, offering users an unparalleled driving experience.
While autonomous driving technology is not yet operational, the EXEED ET and ES are already equipped with an L2.99-level intelligent driving assistance system, with ET featuring 22 high-performance sensors, including 5 high-definition cameras, 5 millimetre-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars. This hardware configuration not only supports current intelligent driving assistance but also prepares the vehicle for future autonomous driving capabilities. As EXEED introduces autonomous driving technology in the UAE in the future, the ET will seamlessly adapt, maximising user experience while effectively reducing vehicle replacement costs.
Notably, the UAE is not only the global launch market for EXEED’s high-end new energy brand EXLANTIX but will also be the first market to experience EXEED’s autonomous driving technology. As an essential strategic market for EXEED, the UAE will continue to lead the charge in EXEED’s intelligent and autonomous driving innovations, becoming a trailblazer for the new era of smart mobility, with plans to apply autonomous driving technology by 2027.
In the future, EXEED aims to build a smart mobility ecosystem centred on the collaboration between human-vehicle-robot, through the deep integration of intelligent robots, AI-powered cockpits, autonomous driving, and new energy technologies, enabling users to enjoy a more intelligent, convenient, and futuristic travel experience.
