The tech giant supercharges creativity with AI video tools in the Arab world
Dubai: Google has rolled out a powerful new photo-to-video capability in its Gemini platform, letting users transform still images into eight-second video clips complete with sound.
The feature is now live for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), including Arabic support.
With the new tool, users can select “Videos” in the prompt menu, upload a photo, and describe the desired scene and audio. Gemini then generates a short, dynamic video based on the prompt.
Everyday photos can be animated into lively scenes, whether it's turning a landscape into a moving panorama or bringing a hand-drawn sketch to life. Finished videos can be downloaded or instantly shared.
Alongside the photo-to-video feature, Google has introduced Flow, its first AI filmmaking tool built specifically for its top-tier models — Veo, Imagen, and Gemini.
Designed for both professionals and beginners, Flow enables creators to build cinematic sequences with high precision.
Camera controls: Direct manipulation of camera motion, angle, and perspective.
Scenebuilder: Add or extend scenes with continuous motion and consistent characters.
Asset management: Organise prompts, footage, and creative elements in one place.
Over the past seven weeks, more than 40 million Veo 3 videos have been generated via the Gemini app and Flow. Every AI-created video carries a visible watermark and an invisible SynthID digital signature, ensuring transparency.
Both Veo 3 and Flow are available through Gemini’s AI Pro and Ultra subscriptions. Google aims to empower storytellers across the region to push the boundaries of creative expression using AI.
