Salik accounts can be used to pay for parking at select Parkonic locations across the UAE
Dubai: Some UAE residents can now use their Salik eWallet for parking payments at select locations, following a partnership between Parkonic, one of the country’s largest private parking operators, and Salik, Dubai’s road toll system. The integration allows for ticket-free, automated parking in certain areas.
Instead of tapping a card or scanning a ticket, drivers simply enter a participating parking location. The system scans the vehicle’s licence plate, which is linked to the driver's Salik account.
Upon exit, the total parking fee is calculated based on the time spent and is automatically deducted from the Salik eWallet, no queues, no barriers, and no paper tickets.
This barrierless, ticket-free technology mirrors Salik’s existing parking system launched in 2024 in Dubai Mall.
The Salik-integrated Parkonic system is currently available at several locations across the UAE, including:
Heera Beach and Al Qasba in Sharjah
West Palm Beach
Golden Mile Galleria, Bay Square, and Dubai Harbour On-Street Parking in Dubai
Union Coop parking areas and locations in Umm Suqeim, Mankhool, and Motor City
Deira Enrichment Project zones
Marina Mall and Khorfakkan Beach
Khorfakkan Beach
In total, Parkonic operates over 150 parking locations across the country, with 18 of them now fully integrated with the Salik payment system as of this year.
To use the service:
Ensure your vehicle’s plate number is linked to your Salik account.
Make sure your Salik eWallet has sufficient balance.
Simply drive in and out of any participating location—charges will be deducted automatically.
